Anna Tzortzi

Anna Tzortzi was born and brought up in Athens. She studied painting and printmaking at the School of Fine Arts of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, where she graduated in 2014. Later she focused on sculpture and continued her studies for a second degree at the Athens School of Fine Arts. Her love for illustration goes back to her childhood years when she enjoyed getting lost in the fictional worlds of picturebooks. Her interest in this form of art followed her through her studying years in visual arts and in the present she works as a freelance illustrator creating mainly editorial and book illustrations. In 2022 she won a merit in EBGE awards in cover illustration. In 2023 she won the EBGE award in book illustration for the children’s book “Myrto and the Smyrna of Wonders”, Patakis Publishers.
